Shredding event

A free shredding and electronics recycling event is set for Saturday at Windermere Real Estate’s Alderwood office, 18811 28th Ave. W, Suite J, Lynnwood. Shredding runs 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. E-recycling runs 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Donations will be accepted for the Lynnwood Food Bank. More info: 425-776-9580.

Volunteers needed: Sharing Wheels is hosting its annual Kids Bike Swap on June 18. They’re looking for volunteers to help repair and clean bicycles. Work parties are hosted at the shop located at 2531 Broadway Ave. For information, go to www.sharingwheels.org.

Northshore schools: The Northshore School Board voted March 28 to move its twice-monthly meetings to Mondays starting in August to help reduce conflicts with school activities. The board now meets Tuesdays.

The meeting schedule will shift to the second Monday of each month at 4 p.m. and the fourth Monday at 7 p.m. Memorial Day and other holidays observed on Mondays could alter the pattern.

Board meetings usually are held in the Dr. G.E. Ricketts Board Room in Northshore’s administrative center, 3330 Monte Villa Parkway, Bothell. A public comment period precedes each meeting. Meetings may be viewed online live via at www.nsd.org/Page/25299.
