Arlington Community Garden beds are available. The garden is across the street from the Arlington Library, at Washington Avenue and Second Street. To reserve a bed, call 360-403-1011.

Opening Day: The Mukilteo Yacht Club celebrates the opening day of boating Saturday. A blessing of the fleet is to be held at 11 a.m. at the Port of Everett’s South Marina Guest Dock 1. The boat parade begins at noon from the Port of Everett breakwater along the Snohomish River; boats can be viewed at Guest Dock 1 from 1-3 p.m. The Everett Sail and Power Squadron will offer free vessel safety checks. Positive parenting: The YWCA offers the free class series “Positive Discipline: Raising our Children with Love and Firmness,” from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesdays, May 10-31 and June 7 and 14, at the YWCA Family Village, 19703 68th Ave. W, Lynnwood. This includes a free light supper and free child care for potty-trained children. Registration is required. More info: 425-387-1271
