County Council to meet in Marysville: The Snohomish County Council has scheduled its upcoming Monday meeting for 6 p.m. at Marysville City Hall, 1049 State St.
The change in venue keeps with a mandate passed by voters last year requiring at least one evening meeting each year in each of the five County Council districts. The council met earlier this year in Edmonds and Mill Creek.
Most of the County Council’s regular meetings are held in downtown Everett during the daytime.
Need a fire engine? The Darrington fire department has listed a number of items as surplus, including a fire engine.
Many of the items are damaged or broken tools, equipment and household supplies, including radio gear.
Bids are due before the June 12 evening board meeting.

Take 10 on Camano: People can learn CPR during free 10-minute lessons outside the Camano Plaza IGA from May 22 to 26.
From about 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., firefighters plan to teach the basics of hands-only CPR. The store is at 370 N. East Camano Drive.
It can take seven minutes or more for first responders to reach someone in a medical emergency, so having a person nearby who can provide CPR can save a life, firefighters say.
