Fitness Expo
The annual Health &Fitness Expo is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Edmonds School District Stadium, 7600 212th St. SW.
This free event will have more than 50 booths, free dental, blood pressure, height-weight and vision screenings, healthy snacks and opportunities to be active. Try Zumba or Taekwondo, challenge mom or dad in the obstacle course, or sign the entire family up for the free Move 60 Fun Run.
The event is sponsored by Verdant Health Commission and Molina Healthcare.
Opioid seminar: A seminar on “Opioid Awareness in Older Adults” is set for 4-6 p.m. Tuesday at the Stillaguamish Senior Center, 18308 Smokey Point Blvd., Arlington.

Traffic safety award: The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office received the 2017 Officer Traffic Safety Award on Sunday in recognition of its work to keep officers safe.
Serious injuries from collisions decreased by 32 percent in 2016, officials said.
Volunteer: Meadowdale High School hopes to draw computer science professionals to volunteer as instructors for an Advanced Placement course in Java programming for the coming school year.
Training and curriculum are provided by Technology Education and Literacy in Schools.
