Rotary rummage sale
Find a gym full of bargains at the Rotary Club of Lynnwood’s annual rummage sale, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Meadowdale Middle School, 6500 168th St. SW. There also will be a kids play area with clowns and a bouncy house. Proceeds benefit Rotary charitable programs, including scholarships.

Trunk sale returns
The Camano Island Community Trunk Sale is to be held again 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Camano Center, 606 Arrowhead Road. Find bargains in sellers’ vehicle trunk spaces. There also will be a beer garden, and a brat lunch for sale.

Enjoy a musical jam
Enjoy an evening of old-time music with fiddle, guitar, banjo and moreon Friday, and every second and fourth Friday, at the Sisco Heights Community Club, 13527 99th Ave. NE, Arlington. There’s a Celtic jam at 5 p.m., workshop at 6, and circle jam at 7. Musicians welcome, or just come and enjoy the music.

Meet with congressman
Constituents are invited to meet with U.S. Rep. Rick Larsen at a community coffee in Everett on Saturday. It’s planned at The Loft Coffee Bar on 1309 Hewitt Ave., Everett, from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
The informal meetup gives people the chance to speak directlly to Larsen, who represents Washington’s Second Congressional District, including much of western Snohomish County and other counties to the north. Larsen has hosted town hall-style meetings this year in Mountlake Terrace, Marysville and other communities in his district.

Golf tourney aids rec fund
The Lynnwood Park and Recreation Foundation holds its annual Par 4 Kids charity golf tournament July 21 at the Lynnwood Golf Course. Mention you read this notice in The Herald by July 19 for an entry fee of $75. Otherwise the entry fee is $90.
Proceeds benefit the Recreation Benefit Fund, which offers financial support for children, seniors and disabled adults in Lynnwood to participate in recreation programs.

OPPORTUNITY
Everett offers community grants
Local neighborhood groups can apply for up to $500 from the city of Everett’s Community Sparks matching-grant program. Money is available for projects or events that help foster a greater sense of community or enhance the neighborhood.
Funds are limited. Applications are considered on a first-come basis, are reviewed bi-weekly, and selected by city staff. Projects must be completed by Dec. 9, with a final deadline of Oct. 2.
