Meet the finalists

The public is invited to meet the finalists for the top job at the Everett Public Library.

A national search has narrowed the field down to four candidates: the library’s current assistant director and three out-of-towners with varied backgrounds in library services.

A meet-and-greet is planned for 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday at the main library auditorium, 2702 Hoyt Ave., Everett. The four finalists are expected to give brief presentation at 7 p.m.

The director reports to the Library Board of Trustees. Longtime director Eileen Simmons announced earlier this year that she plans to retire in the fall.
