I-5 lane, ramp to close
Department of Transportation crews are set to close the right lane of northbound I-5 and the 300th Street offramp at Exit 215 today to install new signs for the weigh station.
The northbound I-5 weigh station, northeast of Stanwood, also is scheduled to be closed during the work. The offramp closure begins at 7 a.m. Wednesday and ends at 7 a.m. Thursday.
Detours are planned, but drivers should be on alert.
Suggestions needed to improve intersection: The Greater Lake Stevens Chamber of Commerce plans to host a workshop Wednesday to develop ideas that can help ease congestion and improve access at the Highway 9 and Highway 204 intersection.
The meeting is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon at the Lake Stevens School District Educational Service Center.

Learn about shoreline development: The Island County WSU Beach Watchers on Camano Island have organized a series of free informational sessions about living on Camano Island beginning at 7 tonight at the Camano Multipurpose Center, 141 N. East Camano Drive.
The first speaker is Katrina Hoffman of Sea Grant Washington. She plans to talk about sustainable shoreline development in the Salish Sea region.
