Port Susan program
Kat Morgan, program manager for the Nature Conservancy at Port Susan, plans to talk about current projects at the bay preserve.
The program is set for 7 tonight at the Camano Multipurpose Center, 141 E. Camano Drive.
It’s part of a public education series hosted the third Wednesday of the month by the Camano Wildlife Habitat Project and sponsored by Friends of Camano Island Parks as part of the Island County watershed project.

Book sale Friday in Snohomish: The Tillicum Chapter of the Snohomish Kiwanis offers the ninth annual Doris Wentworth Book Sale from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Waltz Building, 116 Avenue B in Snohomish.
Proceeds benefit the Dorothy Wentworth Memorial Fund, which donates clothes and school supplies to children in the Snohomish area.
Stuart Snyder, Tillicum Kiwanis of Snohomish, said just about every kind of topic is available. Items are not priced. Customers pay on the donation system.
What about the parks? Mountlake Terrace seeks folks to fill vacancies on the Neighborhood Parks Improvement Subcommittee for the Evergreen Play Area, 22205 56th Ave. W. , and Terrace Creek Park. 23200 48th Ave. W.
The committee gives 10 volunteers the responsibility to review parks and recommend improvements.
