Get your dog washed

The Camano Animal Shelter Association plans an annual dog wash event from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the shelter, located at the corner of Can Ku Road and East Camano Drive on Camano Island.

The cost is $8 to $12, depending on the size of the dog. Manicures extra. Comes with a souvenir bandanna. Proceeds benefit CASA.

Last trunk sale

The last Camano Island Community Trunk Sale of the summer is set for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Camano Center, 606 Arrowhead Road. Sellers pay $35 per parking spot. Shoppers come free.

Search &Rescue celebrates 50 years

Snohomish County Volunteer Search &Rescue will celebrate 50 years of service with a public open house, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Taylor’s Landing, 5599 Old Machias Road, Snohomish. The event is free.

See helicopters and boats, rescue dogs, the mountain bike team and more.

See wings and wheels

Wings and Wheels, an aircraft and car show to benefit Special Olympics Washington, is set for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at First Air Field, 13812 179th Ave. SE, Monroe. The event is free for spectators. There will be a beer garden, vendors, music, food, inflatables for the kids and raffles.

Fresh Paint coming up

Fresh Paint, a festival of artists at work, runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Port of Everett Marina. Admission is free. There is a free shuttle from Schack Art Center at 2921 Hoyt Ave. See demonstrations in glassblowing, pottery, woodcarving and lapidary (rock carving), as well as live music, food booths, a beer garden and the Float Find on Jetty Island.

The United Ostomy Associations of America, Snohomish County Chapter, meets from 1 to 3 p.m. second Mondays (except July and an annual picnic in August) at the Buzz Inn restaurant, 3121 Broadway, Everett.
