Santa visits Mukilteo
Due to ongoing construction at Mukilteo’s Lighthouse Park, Santa changed his schedule. Instead of visiting the lighthouse, he’ll be stopping by Gallery Homes from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at 610 Fifth St.
Santa didn’t want to miss seeing little boys and girls who visit him every year at the lighthouse. Since this is a Mukilteo Historical Society sponsored event, volunteers from MHS will be serving hot chocolate and other treats.

Benefit for slain police officers: A fundraiser is planned Saturday at Original Roadhouse Grill, 11804 Evergreen Way, Everett.
All proceeds go to families of four Lakewood police officers and the family of Timothy Brenton of Marysville, who was a Seattle police officer.
The five died in November in the line of duty.
Flags at half staff: Gov. Chris Gregoire has directed that flags at all state agencies be lowered to half-staff in memory of the four Lakewood, Pierce County, police officers killed in the line of duty.
Flags should remain at half-staff until close of business Tuesday or first thing Wednesday morning.
Dentist to speak about Third-World care: Folks at Ken Baxter Senior and Community Center invite cool people to come and speak.
Dr. Loree Bolin will visit the center at 10 a.m. Wednesday at 514 Delta Ave., Marysville. Bolin, a dentist in Lake Stevens, provided care in Third-World countries with Medical Relief International.
