Make a hovercraft
Kids in grades 4-8 are invited to make their own hovercraft at a Monroe Library event, set for 3:30 to 4:45 p.m. Wednesday. Registration is required. Learn about electrical currents and magnetism as you use a hobby motor, wires and batteries to get this DIY project just right.

Fiddle with Ficklestein for physics fun
Professor Ficklestein’s Physics Phactory comes to the Lake Stevens Library, 11 a.m. Friday. Bill “The Professor” Robinson performs this quirky show with wacky experiments, kooky creations and goofy gadgets to demonstrate Isaac Newton’s three laws of motion. Space is limited. Ostomy Support Group: The United Ostomy Associations of America, Snohomish County Chapter, meets 1-3 p.m. second Mondays (except July and an annual picnic in August) at the Buzz Inn restaurant, 3121 Broadway, Everett.
