Rally for paid leave
A rally to celebrate the state Legislature’s passage of paid family and medical leave is set for 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Lions Hall, 802 E Mukilteo Blvd., Everett. Rep. June Robinson, D-Everett, and MomsRising will be on hand. There will be free food, music, crafts and face-painting.

Lynnwood seeks input on 168th
Lynnwood plans to make safety improvements to 168th Street SW between 44th Avenue and the Meadowdale playfields, particularly for students and families walking and cycling to school. A “walkshop” to gather input will be held 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday where participants will experience the street together on foot. Meet in the library at Beverly Elementary School, 5221 168th St. SW.

Youth Court in action Monday
Bothell Youth Court is a community-based partnership between the University of Washington Bothell, the Northshore School District and Bothell Municipal Court. It provides an alternative to adult municipal court for 16- and 17-year-olds facing their first traffic infraction. Teen attorneys present before a teenage judge and jury. Consequences can include community service, written apologies and more, in exchange for keeping a clean driving record.
Bothell Youth Court hearings take place 6 to 8 p.m. on the second Monday of each month, October to June, at 10116 NE 183rd St., Bothell. The next scheduled hearing is Dec. 11. The public is welcome to watch the youth court in action.

Stuff a Bus
Help stuff Community Transit and Everett Transit buses with food, diapers and new toys to benefit Volunteers of America Western Washington holiday programs.
The Stuff a Bus donation drive wraps up this weekend, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Snohomish Fred Meyer, 2801 Bickford Ave., and the Everett Fred Meyer on Murphy’s Corner, 12906 Bothell-Everett Highway.

Everett: Snohomish County PUD Helping Hands Holiday Bazaar, 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Dec. 8 in the PUD lobby at 2320 California St. Handmade gifts, ornaments, jams and more. A portion of the proceeds helps a program that assists low-income seniors with their utility bills. More info: www.snopud.com.
