Little Science for little ones
The Imagine Children’s Museum offers 30-minute science, technology, engineering and math programs for preschool-age children at local Sno-Isle Libraries branches. This week’s sessions:
10:30 a.m. Monday at the Monroe Library, 1070 Village Way
11 a.m. Wednesday at the Sultan Library, 319 Main St.
11:15 a.m. Wednesday at the Mariner Library, 520 128th St., Everett
11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Lake Stevens Library, 1804 Main St. (registration required)
10 a.m. Friday at the Granite Falls Library, 815 E Galena St. (registration required)
10:30 a.m. Friday at the Lakewood-Smokey Point Library, 3411 169th Place NE, Arlington
Space is limited to the first 30 children. The program is designed for ages 3-5.

WAYS TO HELP
Be a child’s advocate
The Court Appointed Special Advocates program of Snohomish County seeks adults, 21 years and older, to volunteer to serve as advocates for children who have been removed from their homes due to alleged abuse, neglect or abandonment. Qualified individuals from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply and begin the interviewing process for the next training scheduled for March.

Everett Chorale benefit
The Everett Chorale holds its annual gala at 3 p.m. March 3 at Rosehill Community Center in Mukilteo. The theme this year is “Club New York” and features a piano bar-style singalong. There will be a dessert dash, live auction, appetizers and entertainment. Tickets are $30.

Donate items for Silvana Fair auction
The Silvana Fair Board Auction is set for March 10. Donations of auction items are welcome.
The auction is the main source of funding for the free Silvana Fair held each July. The fundraiser will start at 5:30 p.m. March 10 with a silent auction, followed by the live auction at 6 p.m.

Fabric needed for sale
The Clothing and Textile Advisors of Snohomish County seeks donations of fabric, notions, trims, patterns, yarn, needlework items and related books for its annual fabric sale, set for June 19. Proceeds from the sale support a scholarship, Camp Stitch-a-Lot and other community sewing programs.

Serve with Conservation District
The Snohomish Conservation District seeks a volunteer board supervisor. An election will be held March 20. Interested candidates must apply by noon Feb. 20. Forms are at the district offices, 528 91st Ave. NE, Suite A, in Lake Stevens.
