Time for Spartan spirit
Join the Stanwood-Camano Rotary Club Spartan Spirit parade at 11 this morning along 271st Street NW in downtown Stanwood.
All current, future and past Stanwood High School Spartans are encouraged to participate or cheer on those in the parade.
Marysville Night at Everett AquaSox game: Marysville residents and their families can get a deal on tickets to the Aug. 21 Everett AquaSox game against the Tri-City Dust Devils.
The AquaSox are offering upper box seats at $9 per seat or $20 per seat including an all-you-can-eat barbecue. The game will start at 7:05 p.m.

Author to share in Snohomish: Cricket McRae303A01A0, the author of several mysteries set in Snohomish, will share her thoughts about writing at 7 p.m. Monday at the Snohomish Library, 311 Maple Ave.
A writing exercise will follow.
Staples taking school items: Donations of school supplies for students in need can be dropped of at Staples stores in Snohomish County through Sept. 18.
All school supplies and $1 donations made at any Staples store will be donated to the Boys &Girls Clubs of Snohomish County.
Supplies can be taken to the following Staples locations: 4920 Evergreen Way South in Everett; 3011 196th St. SW. in Lynnwood; 105 Mall Way in Marysville; 16232 Bothell Everett Highway in Mill Creek; and 19139 Highway 2 in Monroe.
