Glass quest starts Friday
The Great Northwest Glass Quest starts Friday and continues through Feb. 25 at businesses and local parks in Stanwood and Camano Island. Questers seek plastic clue balls with the hope of winning a hand-blown glass ball made by local artists.

How to spot depression in teens
“Youth Stress, Depression and Suicide Prevention Helps” is set for 4 to 5:30 p.m. Friday at the Arlington Library, 135 N Washington Ave.
In an interactive, group discussion setting, Catherine VanWetter will share information on what youth depression looks like, warning signs and how to discuss the topic in a direct and supportive manner.

Free spay, neuter services
The Feral Cat Spay-Neuter Project offers free services for owned cats starting Sunday in honor of World Spay Day. The Community Cat Coalition and South County Cats will cover the costs through a $4,000 grant.
Free surgeries will be offered to cats owned by low-income families until funds run out. The clinic estimates about 200 cats will be served. The typical cost is $25 for a female spay and $15 for a male neuter operation.

Open house at new prep school

Clinic seeks volunteers
AMEN, a free dental, medical and vision clinic to be held April 20 and 22 in downtown Everett, seeks volunteers. Providers, interpreters, hair stylists and general volunteer help is needed. The project is sponsored in part by the Washington Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. AMEN stands for Adventist Medical Evangelism Network.

Buying a mattress?
