Learn about homelessness

Everett Faith in Action, a group of local pastors, plans two upcoming events on homelessness at 7 p.m. April 19 and May 17 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 215 Mukilteo Blvd.

The first event is called “Voices from the Margins: What do people who live or have lived on the streets have to tell us?” The second is focused on how the others can respond to homelessness, including local government and nonprofits.

Photography show

Award-winning photographer John Noltner will discuss his work at programs set for 12:30 and 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Edmonds Community College’s Black Box Theatre, 20310 68th Ave. W, Lynnwood. Both programs are open to the public.

Noltner, known for his “A Peace of My Mind” project, wove together portraits of EdCC students and staff on the college’s annual theme, “The World We Want.” The localized project will be on display at the theater.

Teen Paper Crafternoon

Teens in grades 6-12 can come to the Mukilteo Library after school Tuesday to make paper crafts, such as origami, bookmarks, “explosion books,” infinite folding cards and more. Snacks and supplies are provided. The program runs 3 to 4:30 p.m. The library is at 4675 Harbour Pointe Blvd.

Pop tab bracelets

Make bracelets out of tabs from pop cans at a DIY event, 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday at the Stanwood Library, 9701 271st St. NW.

Learn about hummingbirds

A program about Anna’s hummingbirds, “Jewels in the Garden,” is set for 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Island County Multipurpose Center, 141 N East Camano Drive, Camano Island.

Free health clinic

AMEN, a free dental, medical and vision clinic, will be held 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 20 and 22 at the Edward D. Hansen Conference Center, 2000 Hewitt Ave., downtown Everett. Patients will be cared for on a first come, first served basis. The project is sponsored in part by the Washington Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. AMEN stands for Adventist Medical Evangelism Network.

Draft tree plan open house

Edmonds will hold an open house to discuss a draft of its tree management plan, 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at City Hall, 121 Fifth Ave. N. Staff will be available to answer questions. A slide show is set for 6:45 p.m. There will be a box for comments. Public comments will continue into May, including at a public hearing set for May 9.
