Lions put on BrewFest

The Lake Stevens Lions Club will benefit from the net proceeds of a BrewFest, set for Sept. 28-29 at Carleton Farms, 630 Sunnyside Blvd. SE, Lake Stevens. Tickets are $25 at the door, cheaper if purchased in advance online. Kids are welcome and get in free. Activities at Carleton’s Pumpkinland on Sept. 29 are charged separately.

Bike work parties

Work parties to refurbish kids bicycles for Christmas House are ongoing, 6-9 p.m. Thursdays through Dec. 6 at Sharing Wheels Community Bike Shop, 2531 Broadway, Everett. Sunday work parties are scheduled for noon to 4 p.m. Sept. 30, Oct. 14, Nov. 4 and Nov. 18. No experience necessary.

Hope Creek Charitable Foundation offers free dental services for adults, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 29 at Gold Creek Community Church, 4326 148th St. SE, Mill Creek. One free dental service per person. Other health screenings are available, as well as breakfast and lunch. Services are first come, first served.

Cocoon House offers a variety of classes on parenting teens at local Sno-Isle Libraries branches this fall.

The first is “Technology Boundaries with your Teen,” held 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Lynnwood Library, 19200 44th Ave. W. That class also will be held at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 1 in Darrington and 6:30 p.m. Oct. 9 in Snohomish.
