HEADS UP
See Santa ski on Lake Stevens
For the 26th year, Santa will ski a couple of laps around Lake Stevens starting at 11 a.m. Christmas morning. Come to any city beach or park to give him a wave. He’ll be towed by a boat playing festive music.
This tip came to The Herald from an anonymous source with close ties to Santa.
No garbage on Christmas
While regular service is offered Monday, there will be no garbage and recycling collection on Tuesday for Christmas Day. For the rest of the week, customers of Waste Management, Rubatino Refuse Removal and Republic Services can expect service one day later than their usual pick-up day.
Christmas trees can be added to yard waste bins if they are cut into smaller lengths to meet local guidelines. All lights and decorations, including tinsel, must be removed. No flocked trees.
