State of Mukilteo speech cancelled

The State of the City address by Mukilteo Mayor Jennifer Gregerson scheduled for 2 p.m. Feb. 9 has been postponed due to the snow forecast. Gregerson, a former city councilwoman, was elected mayor of the city of 21,000 in November 2013 and re-elected in 2017.

Everett Reads! postponed

The Everett Public Library’s Everett Reads! programs with author Sy Montgomery, scheduled earlier for Saturday and Sunday, are cancelled due to weather and will be rescheduled.

Culture at Cascade

The public is invited to the first Cascade Culture Night at the Cascade High School cafeteria. It is planned for 6:30-8:30 p.m. March 20. Enjoy free food and “celebrate our school’s incredibly rich cultural diversity,” according to the invite. There also will be students’ original artwork, spoken-word poetry and a dance performance. The location is 801 E. Casino Rd.

Marysville traffic survey

The city is asking folks to fill out a survey about their daily drive through Marysville. The feedback could help with a future project on 88th Street NE, between 67th Avenue NE and State Avenue. The city plans to add a left-turn lane and to improve the shoulder for pedestrians and bicyclists. The questionnaire is open until Sunday.

Free dental exam for kids

Children are invited to receive a free dental exam and cleaning supplies at the Imagine Children’s Museum from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday. Families also can watch Dr. Decay perform a “Decay Experiment.”

• The Lynnwood City Council meets at 7 p.m. Monday at City Hall. Agenda items include a franchise agreement with Verizon. A Feb. 4 work session was canceled due to the weather. 

• The Everett parks board meets at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Spruce Hall. Agenda items include potential golf rate changes, economic development and the Silver Lake regatta.
