A car prowler stole $1,000 worth of equipment from a support group for the hearing-impaired.
David Pearson, 58, of Marysville, was attending a Hearing Loss Association of Washington get-together in Everett last month when his car was broken into on Pine Street.
The thief made off with a host of equipment that Pearson brings to meetings so people who are hearing impaired can take part.
The Snohomish County chapter of the Hearing Loss Association had spent a few months organizing fundraisers to help buy the headsets, earphones, neck loops and other equipment, Pearson said.
Everett police have the vehicle prowl report on file, Sgt. Robert Goetz said.
