Antiques hit the road
The Lynnwood Senior Center, 19000 44th Ave. W., plans its Lynnwood Appraisal Roadshow, 1-3 p.m. June 5, in partnership with Harbour Pointe Retirement &Assisted Living.
Bring your heirlooms to see what they’re worth with expert Mac McVay, a third-generation licensed antiques collector and dealer. McVay started appraising at age 11 when neighbors paid him 25 cents to make sure their garage sale prices were fair.
Appetizers and sparkling cider will be served.
Art for sale: Don’t miss the 2013 Artists’ Garage Sale on Saturday.
There will be more than 100 artists offering old and new stock including watercolors, oils, pastels, acrylics, glass, sculpture, ceramics, photography, garden art, art supplies and much more.
The sale is at the Schack Art Center, 2921 Hoyt Avenue, and outside along Hoyt Avenue from Wall Street to Hewitt Avenue in downtown Everett.
Food vendors will be on hand.
Flower show: A free Japanese Flower Show and Exhibition sponsored by the Mill Creek Ikenobo group and Mill Creek Parks &Recreation will be 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday in the Mill Creek City Hall Annex Building, 15720 Main St., Mill Creek.
Learn the art of Japanese flower arranging at 2 p.m. in a free one-hour lesson and demonstration.
