Zonta Club grants
The Zonta Club of Everett, an organization that strives to improve the status of women in Snohomish County, is accepting grant applications from nonprofits whose programs align with Zonta’s mission. Join the design review board: The Mill Creek City Council is seeking two volunteers for the Design Review Board for terms that expire on Aug. 31, 2018.
Meetings are held at 5:15 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month. The board makes urban design decisions that are aimed at promoting visual quality of Mill Creek. It reviews site plans, building elevations, landscaping and monument signs for developments.
Board members should be architecture professionals, landscape architects, design planners or have similar backgrounds. They do not need to live in Mill Creek. Letters of interest should be delivered to City Hall or mailed to 15728 Main Street, Mill Creek, WA 98012 by 5 p.m. on Aug. 26.

Join the planning commission: The city of Snohomish is looking for volunteers to serve on its Planning Commission. Applications are available at City Hall. They are due by 4 p.m. Aug. 26. Applications may also be downloaded from the city website and submitted online.
