Arlington Airport appreciation
A free family event, including airplane rides and art projects, is scheduled Saturday at Arlington Municipal Airport.
The annual Airport Appreciation Day is set for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the airport, 18204 59th Drive NE. Children from 8 to 17 years old can enjoy a free plane ride, and all ages can catch a tractor ride to lunch. Also on the agenda are helicopter tours, airplane painting, face painting and a 5K/10K run to raise money for search and rescue equipment.

Mill Creek seeks board members: The city of Mill Creek is looking for volunteers to fill two vacancies on the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board. The terms expire on Oct. 31, 2017.
Members must live in the city. Letters of interest to can be sent to Pam Olson at the city of Mill Creek, 15728 Main St., Mill Creek, WA 98012. People may also deliver letters to City Hall before 5 p.m. on Oct. 3.
