Attorney general to speak
Washington state Attorney General Bob Ferguson will speak July 1 at the meeting of the Rotary Club of Edmonds Daybreakers. Ferguson will provide an update on initiatives and cases involving his office and answer questions.
Guests are welcome to attend but are asked to RSVP by noon Monday at Info@DaybreakersRotary.com or by calling 206-910-1439. The meeting starts at 7 a.m. at the Edmonds Yacht Club, 326 Admiral Way. The cost, which includes breakfast, is $15.
Non-profit proposals wanted: Leadership Snohomish County, an organization that provides training to professionals and young adults, is seeking proposals from registered nonprofits for the 2014-15 program year.
Class participants work on projects and events in the community. Previous projects have included board development, needs assessment, capital improvements, marketing and fundraising, volunteer recognition, and strategic planning. Class participants collaborate to complete projects within the program year, while each develops leadership skills.
Six projects and five events will be selected for the coming year. To apply for consideration, download the form at leadershipsc.org/apply. The deadline for project or event applications is Aug. 19.
