Rock ‘n’ roll author Richie Unterberger plans to give a presentation at 6:30 p.m. next Thursday at the Snohomish Library covering rare film and audio clips of the Beatles from throughout their career.
His book “The Unreleased Beatles: Music and Film” won a 2007 Award for Excellence in Historical Recorded Sound Research from the Association for Recorded Sound Publications.
Unterberger is the author of 11 books covering a wide variety of musical acts from The Who in his book “Won’t Get Fooled Again: The Who from Lifehouse to Quadrophenia” to The Velvet Underground in “White Light/White Heat: The Velvet Underground Day-By-Day.”
Create cupcakes: Who can resist a workshop called Cupcakes 101?
A cake decorating instructor plans to teach a variety of decorating techniques ranging from fun, kid-themed ideas to more elegant, adult- themed cupcakes. Each participant will practice decorating four to five cupcakes and take them home along with several great recipes.
Cupcakes are perfect for holidays, birthdays, weddings, baby showers and other events.
The event for ages 12 and older is planned from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the Mill Creek City Hall — Annex Building, 15720 Main St.
