Bike to Work Day
Bike to Work Day is Friday, and Community Transit is encouraging people to pedal to the office that day. May is Bike Month, and Snohomish County’s public transportation provider is promoting the use of bikes and buses all month.
On Friday, Community Transit is sponsoring commuter stations at Boeing from 5 to 9 a.m., the Lynnwood Transit Center from 6 to 9 a.m. and Beverly Park Road and Commando Road (near Korry Esterline) from 6 to 9 a.m. Cyclists can stop in for snacks and drinks, get free souvenirs, enter drawings for prizes and have a bike mechanic look over their bikes.
Every Community Transit bus is equipped with a rack. Bus riders also can store bikes in lockers at park-and-rides throughout the county.

Warrant call could be bogus: The jury duty scam has come to Lynnwood. It’s a ruse in which victims receive a call or email saying they need to pay money to cancel a warrant for their arrest. The scammers also ask for credit card numbers and other personal information.
The Lynnwood Municipal Court recently sent out an alert saying that court officers would never ask for payment over the phone or by email.
Such scams should be reported to police.
