The Friends of the Arlington Library are hosting a two-day book sale on Tuesday and Wednesday in the lobby of the library, 105 N. Washington Ave. Books, CDs and DVDs will be sold from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday. People who buy an item can be entered in a drawing for a prize basket with the theme “pamper yourself.”
Proceeds from the book sale go to library programs. Used books, CDs and DVDs that are in good condition can be donated at the library’s front desk in bags labeled “FAL.”
EvCC financial aid workshops: Everett Community College is holding two workshops on filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Parents and students are encouraged to attend together, because providing household financial aid information is a key part of completing the form.
One workshop will be held on Everett Community College’s main campus from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, in room 141 of Shuksan Hall, 2000 Tower Street. The other workshop will be at the school’s East County Campus in Monroe, from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 26, at 14090 Fryelands Blvd., Suite 373.
Registration is not necessary. On both occasions, a one-hour informational session will be followed by filling out the form in a computer lab.
