Church congregations in Everett are rallying around Everett police officers in the aftermath of the slaying of four Lakewood officers, offering prayer, encouragement and financial support.
People can contribute to one of two funds: The Everett Law Enforcement Officer’s Memorial Foundation provides assistance to officer families affected by an officer’s death, hospitalization or disability. The Everett Police Chaplain’s Assistance Fund is distributed by Everett police chaplains and supports counseling for officers and families at times of law enforcement stress and provides lodging for critical Everett police cases where life is threatened, as requested by officers.
