NAMI hosts free class
The Snohomish Chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness is offering a free six-week class for parents and other caregivers of children, youth, and adolescents with mental illness challenges.
The Thursday evening series of classes are scheduled from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. starting this Thursday and running through Nov. 8. The classes will be held in the Westminster Fellowship Hall of First Presbyterian Church, 2936 Rockefeller in Everett. Registration is required. R-74 panel discussion: Discuss issues of same-sex marriage from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Edmonds Community College, 20000 68th Ave. W., Lynnwood. The forum is part of the Sno-Isle Libraries’ “Issues That Matter” series.

Free Stillaguamish health fair: Dick Foley of The Brothers Four and KOMO’s “Northwest Afternoon” fame will be headlining the third annual Stillaguamish Senior Center’s Health and Social Services Fair scheduled for Wednesday, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Main Hall of the Senior Center at 18308 Smokey Point Blvd., Arlington.
The fair will feature informational seminars, exercise demonstrations and flu shots as well as more than 40 vendor booths. Contests with prizes will be held throughout the day. Admission is free. Call 360-653-4551 ext. 234 to sign up for a seminar, or email outreach@stillycenter.com.
