Darrington’s business group plans to update its online directory in January. The organization has a new website and leaders aim to promote local shopping, dining and other enterprises.
Darrington Strong, Inc., is seeking directory information for any business within the Darrington School District boundaries. The business’ name, phone number, address and any additional information can be emailed to darringtonstrong@gmail.com.

This popular series of talks by Northwest gardening experts is $85 for eight classes, each offering two hours of lecture, instruction and Q&A time. Fire station remodel delayed: A remodel of Fire Station 65 in the Lake Goodwin area has been put off until next spring or summer. The station at 17500 E. Lake Goodwin Road is the oldest in the Marysville Fire District. It was originally built by volunteers in 1963.
