Gold Creek Community Church will attempt to break a record Sunday for the Maltby Food Bank with a Ten Ton Food Challenge.
Attendees were given shopping lists last week and encouraged to fill their trunks with needed food. As they arrive at church on Sunday they will remove their bagged food from their cars and set the bags behind their cars.
Representatives from Maltby Food Bank will then pick up the food during each service. The food will be weighed, and Gold Creek hopes to break a previous record held by mail carriers from the area of 19,000 pounds.
Pastor Dan Kellogg and Gold Creek Community Church are making an effort to reach out to our community.
