A town hall meeting with Edmonds Mayor Dave Earling is scheduled from 6:30 to 8:30 tonight at the Meadowdale Clubhouse, 6801 North Meadowdale Road. The mayor and some city staff will be on hand for a community discussion and to answer questions.
Congressional candidates forum: Three Democrats vying to replace retiring U.S. Rep. Jim McDermott in the 7th Congressional district plan to participate in a moderated forum Thursday night at Edmonds Community College. State Sen. Pramila Jayapal, state Rep. Brady Walkinshaw and King County Councilman Joe McDermott are expected to attend the public event from 7 to 9 p.m. at the college’s Brier Lobby, 20000 68 Avenue W., Lynnwood.
Topics are to include education, foreign policy, immigration, gun control, environmental issues, poverty and the economy.
Democrats from the 21st Legislative District organized the forum.
Teach a class: Marysville Parks, Culture and Recreation’s Ken Baxter Community Center seeks independent contract pay instructors to teach classes for its fall and winter sessions (September–December). Classes can be ongoing sessions, one-day classes or short workshops.
Proposed subjects may be in art, crafts, education, workshops, business, trade, fitness or other topics where you can share your skills and talents to others.
