Hall grand opening
Everett Community College and the Providence Everett Healthcare Clinic plan to celebrate the opening of Liberty Hall at 1 p.m. Wednesday.
The clinic will hold an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. following the ribbon-cutting ceremony. The $37.5 million facility, is located at 903 North Broadway next to the college’s Fitness Center.
In addition to EvCC classrooms and labs, the 72,000-square-foot building will be the new home of the Providence Everett Healthcare Clinic, now located across the street.
Liberty Hall is home to the EvCC’s nursing, medical assisting and phlebotomy programs and other health sciences training, plus EvCC’s criminal justice program. The building opened to students and faculty April 1, the start of EvCC’s spring quarter.

Ferry riders can quiz leaders of Washington State Ferries at two community meetings on Whidbey Island this week.
Officials will be talking about the ferry budget, construction of new vessels and operation of the current boats and answering questions from the public in the sessions.
The first meeting is Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in Clinton Community Hall, 6411 Central Ave. in Clinton. On June 11, ferry officials will meet jointly with the Coupeville Chamber of Commerce from 8 to 9 a.m. in the Coupeville Library, 788 NW Alexander St.
