Forum about future
“Building Our Local Future in Snohomish County” is offered Saturday at Everett Community College.
The free event aims to provide a day of thought-provoking speakers, breakout sessions and an information fair in a setting that will showcase artists and musicians and celebrate diverse cultures.
They want people to be empowered by seeing new ways to improve communication with others interested in the same topics, know where to plug in and where their voice can be heard, and discover ways to build a prosperous future.

The program is planned for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at 2000 Tower St. in Everett. Bring lunch or pay $9. Free childcare is provided.

Community planting: Meet at 9 a.m. Saturday at View Ridge Plaza, 234 Olympic Blvd. in Everett, to plant 40,000 flowers along E. Mukilteo Blvd.
The city of Everett provide gloves, safety vests and trowels, as well as refreshments. A shuttle bus will be at the plaza.
