Was Ed Peterson your teacher?
An Ed Peterson Tribute/Music Alumni event is planned for 6 p.m. Nov. 26 at Snohomish High School Performing Arts Center.
It’s being planned by former music students.
Peterson was the music teacher at Snohomish High School for almost 40 years beginning in 1958. His students traveled to China, Ireland, France and Germany.

It’s bazaar season: Bazaars this weekend include an Olympic View Middle School Bazaar from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at 2602 Mukilteo Speedway in Mukilteo. A Loyal Heights Community Club Bazaar is planned from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at 4305 269th Place NE in Arlington. And a Holiday Bazaar is set for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Oso Community Center, 21824 Highway 530 NE in Arlington.
Learn to budget: The Lake Stevens Family Center is offering a new, free service called Survival Budgeting.
Participants work in small groups to get help with their finances. The five-week class begins at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Octoberfest time: The Lake Stevens Chamber of Commerce offers Oktoberfest events today and Saturday in downtown Lake Stevens. Proceeds help fund the operation of the chamber office.
