Bazaar canceled
The Everett Elks bazaar and bake sale that was scheduled for Saturday has been canceled. For a list of other sales, see the Community Extra Calendar on Page D3 inside today’s Herald.
Learn about DNA: Leilani Lucrisia shares “The ABC’s of DNA” at the next monthly meeting of the Stillaguamish Valley Genealogical Society, 1-3 p.m. Tuesday in the Stillaguamish Room at Haller Park, 154 Cox Ave., Arlington. Learn about DNA tests and what information they offer.
Park improvements: Meadowdale Park, at 5700 168th St. SW in Lynnwood, will see construction before the year is out. Crews are adding 19 parking stalls and a picnic shelter, which will be open for reservations in January.
Board openings: The city of Edmonds seeks residents to serve on the Citizens’ Tree Board. Those with professional or hobbyist interest or experience are preferred, such as arborists, botanists, horticulturists, native plant experts, master gardeners and wildlife experts. Tree Board meetings are at 6 p.m. first Thursdays. The deadline to apply is 4:30 p.m. Nov. 18.
