Free day at parks: Washington State Parks turns 101 years old today and visitors can celebrate by getting out to enjoy a state park for free today.
March 19 is the third of 12 State Parks “free days” in 2014, when visitors are not required to display the Discover Pass to visit a park.
The State Parks’ free days give people a chance to sample some of the beauty of the parks system, in hopes folks will then buy a Discover Pass.
Revenues from the pass are used to support state parks and services.
For information about Discover Pass, go to www.DiscoverPass.wa.gov.
Indoor drumlines come to Everett: Cascade Sound Percussion, directed by Kevin Tsai — a member of Seahawks drum line, Blue Thunder — and the Cascade High School Band Boosters welcome indoor drum lines from two regions to Everett at 6:30 p.m. Saturday for a Night of Marching Percussion. Indoor drumlines will perform shows in the gymnasium located at 801 E. Casino Road. Admission is $3, $5 per family.
