Job training
The Marysville Goodwill Job Training and Education Center plans to offer a round of classes beginning March 14.
Registration for the free classes is scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. March 7 and 8 at the Job Training and Education Center, 9315 State Ave. in Marysville.
All students must complete an interview and placement test before joining a class.

Fundraiser to benefit free clinic: Safe Harbor Free Clinic is hosting a pancake breakfast and silent auction from 9 to 11 a.m. this morning at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 27201 99th Ave. NW in Stanwood.
Cost is $5 for a plate that includes all-you-can-eat pancakes and sausage, coffee, tea and apple juice.
The auction also begins at 9 a.m.
Proceeds go to Safe Harbor Free Clinic to help fund an expanded schedule. Beginning in March, Safe Harbor Free Clinic is set to be open from 6 to 9 p.m. every Friday evening.
Jenni Hogan honored: The Herald’s news partner, KIRO-TV, Channel 7, says “Eyewitness News” traffic reporter Jenni Hogan has been named one of six finalists in the journalist category of Twitter’s International Shorty Awards. Hogan is the only journalist in the finals from a morning television news program in the United States and among 180 finalists out of about 750,000 nominees.
More than 1,000 journalists worldwide were nominated for the award that honors the best people and organizations on Twitter and social media.
