Granite Falls festivities
The town’s second annual Winterfest on Saturday has a tree lighting, craft fair, live music, carriage rides, pictures with Santa and the Jingle Bell Blast 5K Run/Walk/Wag for people and pets. Register for the 5K at 8:30 a.m. The run starts at 9 a.m. Registration also is open online at www.gfwinterfest.com/registration. Proceeds from the 5K go to the Granite Falls High School class of 2018. Kids can participate in a craft fair at Billie’s Busy Kids, 18922 Highway 92.
A tree lighting at the Granite Falls Historical Museum, 109 E. Union St., starts at 4:30 p.m.

Health insurance help: Help is available for those who would like to sign up for individual health insurance next year. An event is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Providence Regional Cancer Partnership, 1717 13th St., Everett. Bring names, dates of birth and Social Security numbers for all members of your household and proof of household income.
Lynnwood tree lighting: A Christmas tree lighting is planned in Lynnwood on Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. in the back parking lot of the Silver Creek Family Church, 5326 176th Street SW. Local school choirs and bands will perform, and the mayor will light the tree. Kids will be able to meet Santa and check out a fire truck.
