Gun violence forum
A panel discussion called “Reducing Gun Violence in Washington — A Moral Imperative” is planned from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Edmonds United Methodist Church, 828 Caspers St., Edmonds.
Panelists scheduled to include Ralph Fascitelli, president of the board of Washington Ceasefire; the Rev. Sanford “Sandy” Brown of Seattle First United Methodist Church and member of the Faith Action Network; Snohomish County Sheriff John Lovick; Christian Sinderman with Washington Alliance for Gun Responsibility; Marina Moscovici and Maryjane Wheble, parents and recently relocated long-time Newtown, Conn., residents; and Pamela Van Swearingen, attorney.

Support the arts at Performathon: The Gene Nastri Community School for the Arts in Mukilteo is inviting the public to its annual Performathon to support the school and listen while the students and faculty perform.
Guests can also enjoy some Mexican food as the Performathon will be from noon to 5 p.m. April 13 at Sabor A Mexico, 8410 Mukilteo Speedway, Mukilteo.
There is no admission charged. Students have collected sponsorships to perform for the fundraiser.

Disaster drill Tuesday in Sultan: Sultan firefighters and school officials plan a large-scale emergency drill on Tuesday morning in downtown Sultan.
A school bus will be on its side, and lots of firetrucks will be in the area. Signs will be posted along U.S. 2 to remind folks it’s only a drill.
The drill is set to run from about 10 a.m. to noon. Some streets may be closed in the area.
