Firefighter fundraiser
Pacific Crest Services and the Everett AquaSox are teaming up to sponsor Firefighters Night on Aug. 10.
Pacific Crest will collect donations for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. This charity works to support families who have lost a loved one in the line of duty.
All funds raised will be donated to the foundation: www.firehero.org.
For more information on how to volunteer or donate, call Ben Miller, 425-212-3505, or email b.miller@pacificcrestinsurance.com.
See for yourself: Everyone is invited to a free hands-on demonstration featuring real human organs to show how lifestyle choices affect the inside of the body. Inside Out —The Original Organ Show will be at the Providence Regional Medical Center booth during the Mill Creek Festival July 14-15.
Inside Out features nurses and respiratory therapists using real human organs to explain the effects of lifestyle choices.
Calling Lowell history buffs: Have any neighborhood history? Everett’s Lowell Neighborhood organizers are looking for photos, stories and home movies about the neighborhood for all time periods, but particularly from the 1940s and 1950s.
The group is working on a historical neighborhood project. They are also accepting donations.
