Walking in Everett
People are invited to a meeting Tuesday at Everett Station to share their ideas about helping the neighborhood become more walkable.
The meeting, which includes a walking tour of the area, is set for 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Everett Station’s Weyerhaeuser Room, 3201 Smith Ave., Everett. Forterra, a Seattle nonprofit dedicated to land conservation, is promoting the event.
Those who want to attend should email ncilluffo@forterra.org.
The meeting is scheduled as city planners are exploring possible ways to encourage multifamily housing and shops near Everett Station. A proposal under discussion would rezone the 10-acre site to allow apartments and condos with allowable height limits rising to 80 feet, from 65 feet now.
