Girl Scout Troop 43244 says folks can help celebrate the 99th year of Girl Scouts by “gifting” a box of Girl Scout cookies to Operation Cookie Drop.
Those cookies go to folks in all military branches.
Troop 43244 will accept donations for Operation Cookie Drop from noon to 6 p.m. today at Safeway, 4128 Rucker Ave. in Everett.
Mountlake Terrace Recruiting: The city is recruiting folks to serve on boards and commissions.
Volunteers use their time and talents to promote Mountlake Terrace and events such as National Night Out and Arts of the Terrace.
Applications are due by 5 p.m. April 29.

Eat some baked goods, win a donkey: The annual Silvana Fair Board Auction is set for 5:30 tonight at Viking Hall, 1331 Pioneer Highway in Silvana.
The auction is the primary support for the annual one-day, youth-based free fair in July.
This year’s auction items include a miniature donkey, a golf cart, a load of gravel, baked goods, animal feed, handmade quilts, artwork, meat, gold earrings and candles.
