Help the Giving Tree
The Giving Gift Tree at Arlington United Church, at Fourth Street and McLeod Avenue, is covered with gift tags for suggested items for the benefit of Kid’s Kloset in Arlington.
Gift items should be brought to the church before Sunday.
Last chance: This is the last Christmas that Front Porch will let readers know about when you can buy liquor at state-run stores.
The state was voted out of the liquor business in November.
All state-run liquor stores will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Christmas Eve. State liquor stores will be closed on Sunday, Christmas Day.
Monday is a state holiday. Most state liquor stores will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Contract liquor stores may be open during the Christmas holiday. Please contact contract stores directly for their holiday operating hours.
