Robert Horton on TV
Herald movie critic Robert Horton is scheduled to be on NBC’s “Today” show today.
“A crew came to Seattle a couple of weeks ago to look at locations of movies shot in the area,” Horton said. Horton showed them around.
He’s expecting to be on between 10:30 a.m. and 11 p.m.

Take art today to Stanwood: The 2012 Port Susan Snow Goose and Birding Festival committee is encouraging local artists to submit work for the annual festival poster contest.
Artists are asked to submit artwork, featuring the snow goose, between 1:30 and 4 p.m. Thursday at the Stanwood Chamber of Commerce office, 8725 271st St. NW.
The snow geese have arrived in the Skagit and Stillaguamish valleys and are feeding in local farm fields.
The festival is in February.
What to do in the winter?: Sunnyside Nursery offers a free class Saturday.
It’s called “Winterizing Tender and Tropical Plants and Other Mysteries Solved,” and is planned for 10 a.m. at 3915 Sunnyside Blvd. in Marysville. It will be taught by Steve Smith, the Whistling Gardener.
Get prepared for whatever the winter weather throws down.
This class will be followed with another freebie, “Fall Pruning,” at 10 a.m. Nov. 5. Let them know you are coming by calling 425-334-2002.
