Front Porch: I-5 work in Marysville postponed

I-5 work postponed

Construction work planned for this weekend on I-5 has been postponed due to rain in the forecast. Major lane closures between Everett and Marysville were scheduled to start Friday night as part of an eight-week project to replace expansion joints on the bridges over Ebey and Steamboat sloughs. The lane closures have been rescheduled for March 4 to 7.

Food bank needs your input:

The Marysville Community Food Bank is surveying people in the Marysville, Tulalip and Lakewood communities for insight into increasing the bank’s reach. Food bank officials would like area residents and food bank clients to take 3-5 minutes to fill out the survey, which can be found online at surveymonkey.com/r/marysville-foodbank-survey.

Printed out versions of the survey are also available at the food bank (4150 88th St. NE), the Marysville Library (6120 Grove St.), or the Ken Baxter Community Center (514 Delta Ave., in Comeford Park).
