Kids Fish-In
Children ages 4-14 can receive free instruction in the basics of fishing at Everett’s annual Fish-In on Silver Lake. The event runs from 7:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. May 13 at Thornton A. Sullivan Park, 11405 W Silver Lake Road. Participants should bring their own rods and tackle boxes, as there’s a limited supply of equipment to borrow.

Library meeting: The Sno-Isle Libraries Board of Trustees meets at 5 p.m. Monday at the Library District’s Service Center, 7312 35th Ave. NE, Marysville.
Camp for kids: The Everett Police Department’s baseball and softball camp, Badges For Baseball, runs the week of Aug. 1 at Kasch Park. Children between 8 and 12 of all abilities are welcome, and camp includes time with officers along with lessons about safety and making good decisions. Applications must be completed in person before May 30 at the Casino Road Boys &Girls Club. Call ahead to check on the limited hours when applications are accepted. The $30 cost includes breakfast and lunch and scholarships are available. Sign up early to ensure a spot.
