Comment on trail plan
People are invited to learn and comment about a plan for a non-motorized trail system in Reiter Foothills at a community meeting from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Park Place Middle School, 1408 W. Main St., Monroe.
The state Department of Natural Resources says the plan is going through the environmental review process. The project is based on the April 2010 Reiter Foothills Recreation Plan. For more information, go to the Reiter Foothills recreation planning page at http://1.usa.gov/8nS0t.

Car seat safety: A workshop to help you with your child’s car seats and keep your child safe in the car is planned from 7 to 8:30 p.m. May 14 at the Marysville Library, 6120 Grove St. The class registration cost is $20. Sales benefit Camano animal shelter: The Camano Animal Shelter Association will sponsor a bake sale and plant sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Camano Multi-Purpose Center (blue building next to the shelter), 141 E. Camano Drive south of the shopping center. Stop by for hot dogs, water and free coffee and shop for desserts and indoor and outdoor plants. All proceeds benefit the animal shelter.
