April 15 is the last day to sign up for summer camp at Killoqua at the lower registration fees. Killoqua offers both resident and day camp programs and is operated by Camp Fire USA.
Killoqua’s summer programs include everything from a traditional week at camp to rock climbing, horses, bike trips and specialty sessions in cooking, archery and teen leadership.
Weekly fees start at $215 and vary by program. Financial assistance may be available for those who qualify.

A world of sweets: The diverse range of sweets we enjoy across Washington reveals much about our shared history and culture.
Join speaker Julia Harrison, try some tastes and learn the ways different Washington communities use sweet food to celebrate, adapt and interact.

Kids art contest: The Secretary of State’s Office invites students in grades 4 and 5 to enter its 2013 kids art contest.
The winner’s art will be featured in the 2013 general election voters pamphlet. Last year, there were 3.5 million copies distributed statewide. The winning artist will also receive a surprise visit from Secretary of State Kim Wyman at his or her school.
This year’s theme is “I am a change maker.”
