Edmonds public schools Superintendent Nick Brossoit’s next monthly Q&A luncheon will an opportunity to see what kids are eating.
December’s topic is nutrition, and the hour-long program will include a school lunch.
The roundtable discussion is set for noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday in the board room at the Educational Services Center, 20420 68th Ave., Lynnwood.
Learn about Japanese Gulch archeology: Students and instructors who participated in an archaeological field school in Japanese Gulch this summer will tell the story of an early 20th-century Japanese-American community located near the Mukilteo waterfront.
The presentation is free and will be at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Everett Music Project Theater located in the Everett Mall.
The Learn and Serve Environmental Anthropology Field School also called LEAF began at Edmonds Community College in April 2006 and expanded to Everett Community College in July.
The school aims to combine traditional ecological knowledge and citizen science to help make our communities more sustainable.
